ABSTRACT:Ceropegia juncea Roxb. (Asclepiadaceae) is a medicinal plant whose fleshy stem extract was tested and the same possessed antioxidant properties including radical scavenging activity. The antibacterial activity was tested by agar diffusion method against Bacillus subtilis, Citrobacter koseri, Entrobacter aerogens, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The minimum inhibitory (MIC) and the minimum bacterial concentration (MBC) values varied for the six bacterial genus tested.
