Today, one emerging source of small molecule drug lead in the world's ocean. Based on the present findings, the marine sponge extract from Zygomycaleparishi have potential antimicrobial activity against pathogenic bacteria and fungi. Methanolic extract of sponge Zygomycaleparishiishowed three bands ranging from 70-150 kDa and aqueous crude extract of Zygomycaleparishiirevealed three bands which ranging between 66-205 kDa on SDS-PAGE.The results of present investigation revealed that, the marine sponges are a potential source of novel antibiotic leads.
