Repeated column chromatography of the butanol extract of Scrophularia xanthoglossa yielded three phenylpropanoid glycosides identified as scropheanoside-I, scropheanoside-II, scropheanoside-III together with two phenylethanoid glycosides identified as, acetoside, and martynoside. Their structures were determined by spectroscopic analysis, chemical evidence as well as comparison with literature values.
