    <abstract language="eng">Hexane extracts of the green alga, Pithophora oedogonia was tested for antiifungal activity against isolate of a plant pathogenic fungi namely, Colletotrichum lindemuthianum . the extracts were fractionated by coloumn chromatography. By combiningTLC bioautography with coloum chromatography active fractions were identified. The compound in the active fraction was characterized by GC MS analysis. Results are presented and discussed.</abstract>
