A simple and highly sensitive spectrofluorimetric method was developed for the estimation of Rosiglitazone in tablet dosage form. The native fluorescence of the drug in methanol was measured at an excitation wavelength of 297nm and emission wavelength of 311nm. Rosiglitazone was estimated in nanograms and its linearity was found to be 1-5ng/ml. The method was found to be rapid, precise and accurate which can be applied for the routine estimation of rosiglitazone in tablet dosage forms.
