    <abstract language="eng"><p style="text-align: left;">From the ethyl acetate extract of the roots of Citrus sinensis by eluting with chloroform-methanol (7:1) a flavanoid characterized as 5-hydroxy-2-(42 -hydroxyphenyl) -2", 2",-dimethyl-2, 3-dihydro-pyrano-chromen-4-one was isolated. The compound was characterized by elemental analysis, U.V., I.R., N.M.R and mass spectral studies.</p></abstract>
