    <abstract language="eng">The health care in hand surgery deals not only with surgical and non-surgical treatment and management. This field has been recognized much enough and development as independent clinical specialty. This review highlights the importance of hand surgery seems as a separate and independent clinical specialty, progress and challenges faced in past during its development, functional outcomes.</abstract>
