The highest prevalence and intensity of inflammatory periodontal disease and tooth decay was detected with the increased age of the surveyed. Professional oral hygiene was required for 75.64% of patients with gingivitis and periodontitis. Comprehensive periodontal treatment, which included in addition to occupational hygiene and sanitation the conservative therapy and surgical treatment, was necessary for 13.46% military personnel with moderate and severe chronic generalized periodontitis in average.
