    <abstract language="eng">The article considers possibility of using and main concepts of erosion-structural analysis using as an example mountainous territory – Pamir. Due to synthesis of the experience of previous investigations, search of new ways of the data generalization about structural peculiarities of the river network pattern a complex of sequential methodical approaches of the river network pattern analysis has been formed, which was named technique of erosion-structural analysis. Long-term experimental investigations of the authors are based on detailed study of vast cartographic material, including physical-geographical maps of various scale, geological and tectonic maps and schemes; metallogenic maps of Pamir, and satellite images. Place of the erosion-structural analysis in solution of the problem of cognition of connection between forms of the relief, geological structure, and tectonics is determined.
