Results of the investigations demonstrate that for preprocessing and dewatering
of reservoiroil sludge by solvent method on laboratory facility the most suitable solvent
is toluene. Using calculations and experiments, the optimum parameters of solvent
processing of oil sludgewith extraction of organic components have been determined,
which correspond to the temperature of 100°C, mixer rotation speed of 500 rpm, inert gas
flow rate (N2) of 30 nl/h, water to toluene ratio of at least 1:5 by weight. Conditions of
separation of mineral components of oil sludgeby filtration have been determined: 45-
50°C, slightly excessive pressure. A complex layout of oil sludge preprocessing have been
proposed, including additional distillation of organic components of oil sludgeat 300°C,
facilitating obtaining of heavy fraction suitable for the use as initial raw material for
hydroconversion.
