<p class="normal-font">The study was carried out in the western region of Kazakhstan onakzhaik meat-wool sheep with crossbred wool. The article presents the research findings of meat productivity and characteristics of carcasses of young animals of akzhaik meat-wool sheep, obtained from different selection options. The aim of the research was to get preliminary information for future studies that would allow a scientific basis for ways to increase production of sheep due to a fuller implementation of the breed sgenetic potential. Encouraging results have been obtained in terms of increased meat productivity and quality of lambs carcasses, which can be used to produce high-quality meatin the 4.5 months of age.</p>
