The present study was carried out to assess the microbiological quality of street-vended parathasamples obtained from five different locations in the markets of Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The results demonstrated the non-hygienic quality of paratha samples which might be attributed to the time of day when the number of clients passing nearby varies. It might also be attributed to natural factors such as wind velocity, season, humidity, etc. since these parathasare generally sold in an open atmosphere.
